My name is Emma, and I am the owner and creator of Red Lighthouse Local.
I started the business in June 2023 after a career change.
I saw a gap in the market for affordable marketing packages tailored to local businesses. I heard so many friends say they wished there was a one-stop service that offered social media management, website design, and more — and it got me thinking.
I came home and said to Scott, "I want to set up my own business."
I didn’t have any experience in starting a business or knowing exactly what I needed for it to succeed. But I had determination, a strong belief in myself, and a solid work ethic. So, we worked hard, came up with the name and logo — and here we are, two years later.
I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come and want to encourage anyone to follow their dreams. Believe in yourself — you’re capable of more than you think.
